FAQ
Yes, it’s all about collaboration! We talk things through, come up with a plan and then the script is only finalised when you are happy with it.
The law in England at the moment does not legally recognise humanist weddings (but watch this space, we’re working on it!). Most couples choose to formalise their marriage at a Register Office some time before their wedding day.
One of the joys of choosing a humanist wedding is it can take place anywhere you would like. Whether its in a castle or an allotment, your favourite pub or your back garden, all that matters is that you marry somewhere that’s right for you.
Only if you want to! When you write your own vows they feel more personal. If you don’t feel confident writing your own, don’t worry I will write some for you, using your own words where possible.
I am happy to rebook with you at no extra cost should your wedding be postponned due to Covid 19.
Who doesn’t love a dog in a bow? My cocker spaniel Digby was at my wedding, he added so much and got way more attention than I did. I was so proud that he didn’t cock his leg during the ceremony but be warned, it does happen! You just need to check with your venue and be prepared in case of accidents.
Whenever possible I will travel to your ceremony either by public transport, in a fully electric car or even on my bicycle!
